Every lift project begins with the same decision, and it is rarely made early enough: where do your responsibilities end and where do ours begin? Get that boundary right at concept stage and the project is simpler to procure, cheaper to integrate and far easier to programme. Get it wrong and it surfaces as a coordination problem on site, at the point where it costs the most to fix.

SERAPID supplies at six defined levels. Four are rungs on a ladder of increasing scope — you choose how much of the engineering, integration and installation responsibility we carry. Two are support packages that layer onto whichever rung you pick.

One technology, six ways to buy it 

Whatever the scope, the lift is powered by the same proprietary Rigid Chain Technology. The electro-mechanical drive delivers what conventional hydraulic and traction systems cannot:

Choosing the Right Scope of Supply

Organisations with dedicated engineering teams often prefer the flexibility of a Drive Train or Elevation Package. Those without specialist lift expertise usually benefit from a Lift Package or Turnkey solution — and generally know it.

Some contractors prefer to manage installation internally as part of a broader construction programme, where the lift is one of many trades being sequenced. Others prefer to transfer installation and commissioning entirely, so the lift arrives as a completed, tested system with a date attached.

This is the one that decides most projects. The more scope transferred to SERAPID, the less integration and installation risk sits with the project team — which matters most on complex projects where schedule certainty and performance guarantees are the binding constraints.

Yes. Both are designed to attach to whichever scope level you choose. A customer buying only a Drive Train can still take a full training package and a maintenance agreement.

No. Every package is built on the same Rigid Chain Technology, with the same performance, capacities and service life. What changes is how much of the surrounding engineering and installation SERAPID provides. 

At concept design, before the structure and the shaft are fixed. The scope determines who designs the car, who writes the controls and who carries the integration risk — all of which are difficult and expensive to reassign later. 

It can, though moving up the ladder late in a project is easier than moving down it. If there is genuine uncertainty about your team’s capacity, it is usually better to start the conversation at a higher scope and reduce it than to discover a gap during installation.
