Hidden Wine Room

A hidden wine cellar is revealed by a moving wall loaded with bottles of vintage wine, without the slightest disturbance to the valuable stock.

For a unique and luxurious home in the outskirts of Metro Detroit, SERAPID was contacted to design and build a moving wall to conceal a hidden room in the resident’s large wine cellar. The wall, completely outfitted with glass shelves and holding multiple bottles of collectable wine, moves smoothly on embedded floor tracks, with a slow gentle start and a soft finish, ensuring sediment is not disturbed due to vibration.
This solution includes 2 Rollbeam SERAPID push-pull actuators.
