Elevator for nuclear waste containers

Power stations need solutions to handle waste containers without lifting them more than 300 mm from the ground.

The Flamanville EPR consulted SERAPID for the design and  manufacture of a nuclear safety compliant elevator to lift nuclear waste containers into storage cells.   This height constraint was solved thanks to the reduced space required for the SERAPID rigid chain elevation system, which makes it possible to position the platform at ground level. The rigid chain's reliability and long service life are major strengths for nuclear industry professionals, especially for safety related measures.
