Automated Car Parking

Thanks to the perfect combination of SERAPID and Locatelli Engineering expertise, you can see here an automated parking structure in Piazza della Vittoria, Brescia (BS), in the Lombardia Region, Italy.

With four floors, 13 car places, and 9 meters high, this exciting project was developed in 2012, with Mr. Riccardo Tomassone of SERAPID Italy. This project, thought out in an innovative and modern way, has six laser scanners to keep vehicles distanced and a car rotation for forward positioning.

A place in this very unique parking structure is booked by a smartphone application. It offers its clients many advantages: electric car recharge, remote assistance service, video surveillance cameras.

For this interesting application, the Italian company Locatelli Engineering chose SERAPID for its Rigid Chain Technology, which offers many advantages: accuracy, speed, reliability, space-saving, safety, and low maintenance.

The LinkLift is a perfect alternative to conventional systems, hydraulic and traction sheave drives. It is an electromechanical telescopic actuator specifically designed for the vertical movement of heavy loads using rigid chain technology. The LinkLift is suitable for lifting heavy loads in industry, scenery equipment, and for the movement of structural elements in the construction industry.

For this application, SERAPID has provided four Linklift 80s to support a total weight of 80 000 N. The speed can reach 300 mm/s.
