Motor Drives for Serapid LinkLift Elavating Systems

Motor drive :

Serapid is capable of providing comprehensive motorized lift package solutions, including design, study and calculations.

For LinkLift products with more than four columns, we advise attaching planetary gear-units directly onto the LinkLift housing.This provides the largest reduction ratio possible, taking into account motor speeds.The arrangement delivers an exceptional cost to efficiency ratio.

In cases where you the customer are designing the motor drive system, we ask that you take the factors into account:

 

  • Ensure that any components specified are compatible with Serapid products. Please consult us if necessary.
  • Incorporate the following components into the total load calculations:
      The actual static and dynamic loading of the platform.
      The weight of the platform.
      The weight of the chains.
  • Take into account any offset loading.
  • Factor in the friction coefficient of guides.
  • Factor the ratings of all transmission system components, such as couplings, gears etc...
  • Include the design of a safety brake in addition to the motor brake.
  • Provide a speed ramp (both up and down) upon start-up and stopping, to absorb potential overloads.
  • Include in the drawings an emergency stop control.
  • Calculate the transmission components from motor to LinkLift using the actual motor brake torque, not the nominal static and dynamic loads.This takes into account any sudden stop, such as an emergency stop, due to power failure.

Serapid cannot be held liable for any deterioration of the product or accidents if the above parameters have not been taken into account.
