Linear motion systems from Serapid are widely used
in the entertainment industry. Their enviable reputation for accuracy
and reliability were key to their selection for the 2008 Beijing
Olympic opening ceremony. Serapid Rigid Chain Technology allows
linear movement of heavy loads over virtually any distance, horizontally
or vertically with noise and pin-point accuracy making it ideally
suitable whether a silent scene change is required, or whether the
total configuration of a venue floor, walls or roof need to be changed.
The unique ability to store the chain in any number of geometric
configurations allows the systems to be fitted in almost any location.

Our LinkLift and Telescopic Seating Motion (TSM)
systems are unique means of motion transfer.
In 1999, Serapid introduced the LinkLift, born from
the Serapid Rigid Chain Technology used in push-pull applications
in many industries. Worldwide installations of the LinkLift in theatres,
concert halls and arenas have set a new standard for load capacity
and elevating heights, as well as for safety, reliability and flexibility.
After ten years of success, Serapid launched LinkLift2 - the next
generation LinkLift. LinkLift2 offers a number of performance improvements
with up to 100% higher loads capacities, up to 30 % longer strokes
and faster speeds (600 mm/s).

The TSM system is a purely mechanical telescopic system. It is flexible
and space saving and opens up entirely new design opportunities.
The system uses a Serapid Rigid Chain, driven by an electric motor,
to push the telescopic seating units out and then pull them back
into their storage position. The TSM follows on from the Serapid
SCT silent rigid horizontal chain system design, which is used throughout
the industry for fixed installations where it provides for the movement
of band and scenery wagons, and also in productions where systems
are utilized for show applications in the West End of London and
on Broadway in New York.

TSM - Telescopic Seating Motion system with Serapid Rigid Chain
technology
Just like the original Serapid Rigid Chain systems,
the TSM chain locks in the horizontal plane to become a rigid pushing
bar in the direction of travel, with the ability to coil up into
a compact magazine as it is retracted.
Should you need lift or horizontal motion systems,
with Serapid's design and engineering services at hand, you will
find it easy to realize your most creative stage and venue projects.
