SERAPID to Participate in Michigan Defense Industrial Base Expo
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (May 4, 2012) – Serapid, Inc., a leading supplier of lifts and transfer systems technology, will be among the exhibitors displaying products and services for the defense industry at the 3rd Annual Michigan Defense Industrial Base Expo. The expo will be held at Macomb Community College Sports and Expo Center in Warren, Michigan, May 15 and 16, 2012. Serapid will be in booth #D12.
Serapid has recently produced telescoping mast units for several defense, metrology, environmental and intelligence projects. For a metrology installation, Serapid produced 20 freestanding telescoping mast units featuring a minimal footprint and ability to be used in a temporary installation. Another project using Serapid’s Telemast™ is a self contained modular and portable surveillance unit that can detect and track people, vehicles and aircraft, with complete 360 degree capabilities, communicating remotely via satellite. The most recent project, a triple mast weapons station, can lift and position as much as 750 lbs with accuracy within 5mm. by remote control, and is able to elevate the load 11ft. in 30 seconds.
Fundamental to these systems is Serapid’s Telemast™ with the unique Serapid Rigid Chain technology. This technology allows the unit to be precisely positioned to exact increments, with the ability to lock in position for extended periods. The Rigid Chain is electro-mechanically motorized, does not rely on gravity for retraction, and is well suited to harsh conditions and severe weather.
The Serapid Telemast™ will be on display at the Expo both days between 8am and 5pm.
