Serapid to Exhibit at 2012 Elevator U Annual Conference
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (June 11, 2012) – Serapid, Inc., a leading supplier of lifts and transfer systems technology, will be among the exhibitors at the 2012 Elevator U Annual Conference at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center, at Michigan State University, June 19 to 21.
Elevator U is a nonprofit organization for all sectors of the elevator industry. The organization was formed to promote excellence in design, construction and maintenance for all forms of vertical transportation, emphasizing safety, durability and efficiency.
Said Lounis, President of Serapid, will be hosting a tour of the Serapid stage lift at The Wharton Center for Performing Arts on Tuesday, June 20. Serapid designed and produced the huge 10’8” by 68’ orchestra lift for the Cobb Theatre. This enormous lift uses eight LinkLift columns made with Serapid’s unique Rigid Chain and can travel 11’ at the speed of 7’ per minute noiselessly, quickly and with complete stability. It has the total surface area of approximately 760 S.F. and a dynamic load of 69,920 lb.
Serapid has successful installations all over the world including the prestigious Bolshoi Theatre in Russia, the Frank Gehry designed Louis Vuitton Center for the Arts in France, the David Koch Theatre in New York, and the AT&T Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in Dallas.
