The BTM replaces the conventional bolt and nut without requiring costly changes to the die. The clamp is tightened mechanically by a package of spring washers, maintaining the clamping force without external supports. Unclamping is done hydraulically, with a hand pump or any other source that provides the required pressure. The clamping height is fixed by the length of the piston rod, which is created to your specification.

The clamping height can be adapted to different die heights by adjusting the piston rod. Thanks to the double guiding of the piston, the BTSA delivers reliable and consistent performance.

The TB90 Tilting Rod Clamp is integrated in the press bolster or ram, on front and rear positions. The clamping rod engages with a U-shaped slot on the front and rear positions of the die. As with any rod clamp, the die is held by pulling it against the bolster or ram. In the released state, however, the clamping rod of the TB90 is tilted forward to a fully horizontal position, and thus completely clears the path for the die to pass over or under it. When the opening hydraulic pressure is removed the rod springs back to the clamping position, ready to grip a newly positioned die.

The BTSC is compact and very easy to handle. The largest version has a clamping force of 150 kN, and the piston is just 75 mm in height. The clamping height can be adapted to different heights by adjusting the piston rod. Thanks to the double guiding of the piston, the BTSC delivers reliable and consistent performance.

The ROTO-ESCAM clamp is mounted with its body fully embedded into the bolster or ram. The clamping rod is extended and rotated to grip the die inside one of the T-slots. When unclamping, it fully retracts to clear the die’s transfer path. The vertical movements – tightening, opening, extending and withdrawing – are separate from the rotation of the clamping rod. After it has reached the proper position inside the slot, the rod is rotated so that its brace is in cross direction for clamping or lengthwise for withdrawing. The separation of movements prevents damage to the die or clamp in case of accidental jams. The clamp can be fully controlled by a PLC module.
