The PHL is used for lateral clamping of relatively flat dies or dies with a low-profiled edge. Normally it is used on the bolster, but in some cases it can be used on the ram. The clamping height is variable by the height of the mounting block on which the clamp is installed. Several units can be lined-up to achieve the clamping force required or to distribute clamping points as desired.

The TBH Wedge Clamp is mounted on the press bolster or ram. It grips the die on its lateral edge. The clamping face is slanted to suit the common 20° edge profile. Driven hydraulically, the clamping wedge moves in and out horizontally.

The TBHS Escaping Arc Clamp is installed on the press bolster or ram. It grips the die on its lateral edge. As a standard, the clamping face is horizontal. The clamping wedge is arc shaped and moves on a curved path. The clamping force acts vertically with no radial load. There is no possibility of jamming when the wedge is retracted, making the TBHS perfect for high temperature applications, like forging. The series extends to models with a clamping force of 630 kN.
